dotapicker helps you pick better heroes. Tell it what has been picked so far and it suggests heroes that counter the enemy and work well with your team, based on how those heroes actually do against and with each other in recent games. Everything on the site is free, and the pickers work without an account.
dotapicker is made by Adrian Toma, a software developer from Iași, Romania, and a long-time Dota player. It started as a side project to answer a simple question during the draft (what should I pick against this?) and grew from there.
In 2026 the site was rebuilt: a new match collector, statistics refreshed every 6 hours, redesigned player stats and Personal hero scores that are now free for everyone.
Matches come from OpenDota, which also provides the average rank used for the skill levels, and from Valve's Steam Web API. Player stats and Personal scores use the OpenDota history of players who log in.
The details are in the FAQ. Dota 2 is a registered trademark of Valve Corporation; dotapicker is not affiliated with Valve.
dotapicker is free and paid for by the ads you see on it. The best ways to support it: keep ads allowed on dotapicker.com, tell a friend about it, and let us know when something looks wrong.
