Invoker is picked in 21.1% of Very High matches, 20% of High and 17.2% of Normal, and wins 51.2% / 51.1% / 50.1%. He combines Quas, Wex and Exort with Invoke into ten spells, among them Cold Snap, Tornado, E.M.P., Chaos Meteor, Sun Strike and Alacrity. His team out-farms the enemy more than almost any other: it gains more XP in 57.5% of games before minute 15, 64.2% up to minute 35 and 67.9% after. That doesn't always turn into wins: he wins 47% of games under 25 minutes, 51.1% at 25–50 and 49.8% past 50.
Countered by RikiRiki doesn't win on XP: his team gains more XP in only 41.7% of games before minute 15. He doesn't need to. Cloak and Dagger keeps him invisible until he attacks, so he can wait for Invoker to walk alone.
Invoker needs to cast to do anything, and Smoke Screen silences everyone inside it and makes them miss their attacks. Blink Strike teleports Riki behind his target and slows it, and Backstab adds damage on every hit from behind. Tricks of the Trade takes Riki out of the world while he strikes enemies around him. A silenced Invoker can't Invoke Ghost Walk or Tornado to escape.
Riki's team gains more XP in only 47.5% of games at 15–35 minutes and 34.7% after, yet he wins 55.4% of 25–50 minute games (8,462 games) and 55% past 50 minutes (2,289 games) against Invoker. This counter is about picking him off, not out-farming him. The edge is largest in Very High (+10.79), with +6.59 in High and +3.35 in Normal. Riki wins 56.5% / 56.1% / 54.2% (Very High / High / Normal) against Invoker, against his usual 52.3% / 53.8% / 52.7%.
Best teammate: Chaos KnightThe pair starts ahead: their team gains more XP in 59.7% of games before minute 15. Chaos Bolt stuns for a random duration, long enough for Cold Snap or Sun Strike to follow.
This pair takes over the map: their team gains more XP in 66.2% of games between minutes 15 and 35. Reality Rift pulls a target to Chaos Knight and lowers its armor, straight into Chaos Meteor and Deafening Blast. Alacrity on Chaos Knight adds attack speed and damage to an attacker whose Chaos Strike crits come with lifesteal, and Phantasm illusions deal full damage. Tornado and E.M.P. start the fight before Chaos Knight arrives.
The XP lead keeps growing, to 70.9% of games after minute 35, but the pair should still end the game before then: they win 54.6% of 25–50 minute games (6,178 games) and only 49.1% past 50 (1,341 games). The advantage is +5.2 in Very High, +3.78 in High and +2.99 in Normal. The pair wins 54.9% / 54.1% / 53.2% (Very High / High / Normal), with Chaos Knight normally at 51.1% / 51.1% / 51.5%.
Based on 2,111,000 public ranked matches of patch 7.41, played 30 September – 14 October 2026. Advantage is the win-rate difference from what the two heroes' own win rates predict, times two (+6 is about 3 win-rate points), weighted over the skill brackets.
