Spectre is picked in 8.3% of Very High matches, 9.8% of High and 10.7% of Normal, and is one of the strongest heroes of the patch: 52.9% / 53.5% / 53.4%. Spectral Dagger leaves a path she can move through terrain on, Shadow Step sends an illusion at one target, Dispersion returns part of the damage she takes, Desolate adds pure damage against isolated enemies, and Haunt sends an illusion to every enemy hero. She grows with the game: she wins 45% of games under 25 minutes, 53.1% at 25–50 and 54.7% past 50.
Countered by UndyingUndying wins the early game hard: his team gains more XP in 65.4% of games before minute 15. Decay steals strength from Spectre in every trade, and Soul Rip damages her or heals his allies.
Desolate only works when the target has no allied units within 350 range, and a Tombstone spawns zombies next to every enemy near it, so Undying's team is rarely alone. The zombies also slow Spectre and her Haunt illusions down. Flesh Golem makes Undying a durable front line, and his team still gains more XP in 59.2% of games between minutes 15 and 35.
Undying has to win before Spectre takes over: he wins 73% of games under 25 minutes (222 games) and 52.4% at 25–50 (8,874 games), but only 43.7% past 50 (2,576 games), and his XP-gain share drops to 44.9% after minute 35. The edge is +9.92 in Very High, +10.34 in High and +7.45 in Normal. Undying wins 51% / 51.6% / 50.5% (Very High / High / Normal) against Spectre, against his usual 48.9% / 49.9% / 50.1%.
Best teammate: RikiThe pair starts behind: their team gains more XP in 44.5% of games before minute 15. Both heroes need time.
From the midgame the pair hunts: their team gains more XP in 58.6% of games between minutes 15 and 35. Haunt sends Spectre's illusions to every enemy hero, and Smoke Screen silences the group and makes them miss. Cloak and Dagger keeps Riki invisible until he strikes, so the heroes Spectre isolates have no one to call. Blink Strike reaches the target Spectre is chasing.
The pair keeps the lead after minute 35 (58.6% of games ahead on XP), and wins 59.6% of 25–50 minute games (2,956 games) and 58.6% past 50 (836 games). The advantage is +3.96 in Very High, +7.73 in High and +5.91 in Normal. The pair wins 57.2% / 61.2% / 59% (Very High / High / Normal), with Riki normally at 52.3% / 53.8% / 52.7%.
Based on 2,111,000 public ranked matches of patch 7.41, played 30 September – 14 October 2026.
