Huskar is picked in 3.5% of Very High matches, 3.3% of High and 4.7% of Normal, and wins 46.7% / 45.5% / 44.9%. Burning Spear stacks burning damage with every attack at the cost of his health, Berserker's Blood gives him attack speed, magic resistance and regeneration as his health drops, Inner Fire knocks enemies away and silences them, and Life Break leaps onto a target for a share of its health. He is an early-game hero: his team gains more XP in 58.1% of games before minute 15, and he wins 53.4% of games under 25 minutes, 45.3% at 25–50 and 44.4% past 50.
Countered by ViperViper beats Huskar from the first minutes: his team gains more XP in 61.9% of games before minute 15, and he wins 69.7% of the 188 games that end before 25 minutes. Poison Attack slows Huskar and lowers his magic resistance with every hit, and Corrosive Skin damages and slows him whenever he attacks Viper.
Huskar fights at low health, and Viper punishes that twice. Viper Strike disables Huskar's passives, so Berserker's Blood stops giving him attack speed, magic resistance and regeneration right when he needs them. Predator adds physical damage for every percent of health Huskar is missing. Nethertoxin slows his attack speed and keeps damaging him while he stands in it, and Corrosive Skin's magic resistance blunts Burning Spear. Huskar's own health costs count as magic damage (Blood Magic), so the magic resistance Poison Attack strips makes them hurt him more. Viper's team gains more XP in 59.6% of games between minutes 15 and 35.
Viper keeps the lead after minute 35 (53.8% XP-gain share). He wins 61.9% of 25–50 minute games (3,830 games) and 49.7% past 50 (976 games). It is a strong counter in every bracket: +16.39 in Very High, +15.13 in High and +12.67 in Normal, from 4,994 games. Viper wins 60.7% / 60.3% / 59.3% (Very High / High / Normal) against Huskar, against his usual 49.3% / 48.3% / 47.8%.
Best teammate: UnderlordThe pair's team is far ahead early: it gains more XP in 62.9% of games before minute 15. They usually play separate lanes and are both strong there: Atrophy Aura and Firestorm make Underlord's offlane hard to contest, and Huskar out-trades his laner with Burning Spear.
Pit of Malice roots the enemies who walk into it, so they can't run from Huskar's spears, and Firestorm keeps burning everyone in the area. Fiend's Gate opens a portal into the fight, and Invading Force gives an ally who teleports damage reduction and movement speed, doubled through the gate, which keeps a low-health Huskar alive as he arrives. The XP-gain share evens out at 49.5% between minutes 15 and 35.
The pair wins 46.4% of 25–50 minute games (1,262 games) and 46.5% past 50 (254 games), with an XP-gain share of 46.7% after minute 35. Both heroes are weak in this patch, Huskar at 46.7% / 45.5% / 44.9% and Underlord at 46.3% / 47.8% / 49.6%, so the pair wins only 48.2% / 44.7% / 46.2% (Very High / High / Normal), though still more than their two win rates predict. The pairing works best in Very High (+10.24), with +2.63 in High and +3.36 in Normal.
Based on 2,082,000 public ranked matches of patch 7.41, played 11–25 October 2026. Advantage is the win-rate difference from what the two heroes' own win rates predict, times two (+6 is about 3 win-rate points), weighted over the skill brackets.
