Tinker is picked in 5% of Very High matches, 4.5% of High and 4.5% of Normal, and wins 49.6% / 47.9% / 46.8%. Laser damages and blinds a target, March of the Machines sends robots through an area, Deploy Turrets places turrets that knock enemies back and keep firing, and Rearm resets his abilities, while Eureka! cuts his item cooldowns instead. He is a late-game hero: he wins only 33.9% of games under 25 minutes, 47.6% at 25–50 and 50.7% past 50, and his team gains more XP in 52.3% of games after minute 35.
Countered by Anti-MageAnti-Mage starts ahead: his team gains more XP in 60.7% of games before minute 15, and he wins 75.5% of the 184 games that end before 25 minutes. Mana Break burns Tinker's mana with every hit, so he soon has no mana left for his spells in the lane.
Tinker needs mana for every Rearm, and Anti-Mage takes it. Blink reaches him behind his turrets, Counterspell reflects Laser back at him, and Persecutor slows him harder the emptier his mana pool. Mana Void then deals damage for all the mana he is missing. Anti-Mage's team gains more XP in 61.1% of games between minutes 15 and 35, Tinker's weakest stage.
The XP-gain share evens out at 49.8% after minute 35, but Anti-Mage still wins 57.4% of 25–50 minute games (7,556 games) and 53.3% past 50 (1,889 games). From 9,629 games, the edge is +9.41 in Very High, +7.81 in High and +5.9 in Normal. Anti-Mage wins 56.1% / 57.2% / 57.3% (Very High / High / Normal) against Tinker, against his usual 51% / 51.3% / 51.2%.
Best teammate: IoTheir team gains more XP in 49.3% of games before minute 15. Tether passes part of Io's heals and mana restoration to Tinker while they are tethered, so he can cast more often.
Overcharge gives Io spell amplification and passes it to the tethered Tinker, so every Laser and March of the Machines hits harder. Relocate carries the tethered Tinker anywhere on the map and back, and Tether slows the enemies it passes through. The XP-gain share dips to 47.2% between minutes 15 and 35.
After minute 35 the pair gains more XP in 57.7% of games. They win 51.8% of 25–50 minute games (1,609 games) and 46.9% past 50 (277 games). The pairing is strongest in Very High (+10.57), with +3.32 in High and +5.74 in Normal. The pair wins 55.6% / 49.9% / 48.2% (Very High / High / Normal), with Io normally at 50.7% / 50.3% / 48.5%.
Based on 2,082,000 public ranked matches of patch 7.41, played 11–25 October 2026.
